Some of the scenes, we are pleased to say, are pretty gruesome. In this video I unbox not one but TWO packages from LEGO with black falcon knights and a lot more amazing stuff as well as a few packages from BrickLink and. Our model is dotted with little scenes that might have been typical of an encamped Jacobite army, inspiring visitors to imagine what life might have been like for them. What we’ve made is the closest representation of Corgarff we could get, using the form of the mini figure and the broader landscape as our guide. 5 x Ninjago LEGO® Spear / Pike Flat Silver Minifigure Army Medieval Weapon Parts. This is because while mini figure scale builds are generally scaled to around 1:40 to 1:44, LEGO mini figures aren’t very good representations of human beings.Įven so, mini figures are one of the most important parts of any model because they help to create drama and tell stories. We navigate this line very carefully when creating our models.Ī further challenge when representing real buildings is getting the scale right. For example, the texture and detail on the walls creates visual interest rather than representing absolute historical accuracy. The building instructions are watermarked to prevent unauthorized distribution. This is not to say we don’t apply artistic license. I therefore strongly recommend building the moc with original LEGO bricks. I expressly do not guarantee that this moc can be built with bricks from other manufacturers or that this leads to a stable model. There may only be a few details that could be somewhat less stable than they would be included in an original LEGO building.įor creating these instructions and for building this moc I used exclusively original LEGO bricks. Overall, this building is absolutely stable and as playable as comparable Lego buildings. Non of these create excessive tension in the parts. The instructions contain very few building techniques that one perhaps could call "illegal". The instructions and parts list do not include the minifigures shown in the first picture, but they do include all of the minifigure accessories shown in the detail pictures. "brick brick" to 30136 brick, modified 1x2 log) in order to further reduce the overall cost or to use bricks that are already in your own inventory. In addition, many parts can be replaced with those in other colors or in a slightly different shape (e.g. € 300 (stores located in Germany, shipping included). If you collect the needed parts with a little attention to the price (for example, the shingles for the roof are best bought direct from LEGO), it is possible to buy the nearly 3000 parts for approx. When planning the Moc, I had a focus on not using too expensive or exclusive parts. In general the Medieval Tavern moc nevertheless is a completely independent construction. Also it annoys my brother, who is being educated as a medieval archaeologist, that the Vikings have horns and plate armor. Not to mention the colors to dye the uniforms would cost a fortune. To ensure the Medieval Tavern moc matches the overall style of the 21325 LEGO Medieval Blacksmith, I had to borrow some of the techniques and optical elements that were used in the LEGO set, especially in the roof area. In general any LEGO castle army would be extremely rich due to all the armor it has, and a few hundred years ahead of its time because of the uniforms. The upper floors are easy to remove and there are two removable roof parts for getting full access to the attic. The Medieval Tavern moc is designed as a modular building. Since not every corner of the attic is frequently visited, a rather large spider has moved in and is now guarding a small treasure in the back corner. The moc features a tavern with kitchen, an open cooking area and a closed fireplace on the ground floor, two bedrooms, one of them with a fireplace and a "toilet", on the first floor and a straw bed, some stored items and a clothesline on the second floor. It is about 28cm high and therefore fits perfectly with the blacksmith. This moc of a medieval tavern with inn was created to be presented together with the 21325 LEGO Medieval Blacksmith.
